Palace on Wheels Train
The Palace on Wheels began on 26 January 1982. The idea of the Palace on Wheels was acquired from the royal background of the carriages, which were the personal railway carriages of the past rulers of the princely states of Rajputana, Gujarat, the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Viceroy of British India.
There are 23 carriages on the train. 104 sightseers can commute by this train. Each coach is nicknamed after ancient Rajput states. From Alwar and Bharatpur to Bikaner and Bundi, this train goes to a lot of destinations. It also includes Dholpur, Dungargarh, Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, Kota, Sirohi and Udaipur.
